- Initial use: Take 1 sachet (and up to 4 sachets if required) daily with food.
- Ongoing use: 1 sachet will often suffice but more can be taken as desired or as professionally directed.

What makes Bifido & Fibre unique?
Bifido & Fibre is a safe, gentle option for regularity, suitable for everyone from the age of 1 year including children1, pregnant women2, and older people3. It contains 25 billion CFUs of the probiotic strain Bifidobacterium lactis BB-12®, thought to be the most highly researched strain in the entire Bifidobacteria family! It has been extensively researched in numerous clinical trials, including one of the largest clinical trials on any probiotic strain, where it was researched in 1,200 people and shown to improve bowel regularity4*. This high-quality strain is offered in a unique combination with 4g of FOS prebiotic fibres, which have also been shown to reduce bowel transit time5, making this a perfect supplement to support occasional constipation*.
How many sachets should I take a day?
The number of Bifido & Fibre sachets required to achieve the desired effect can vary from person to person, so may require some initial ‘trial and error’. It is recommended to start with one sachet a day and see how you respond. If you feel you would benefit from taking more, the number of sachets taken can be increased (one sachet at a time), up to a maximum of 4 sachets per day spread over the course of the day. This supplement can be taken with or without food and many people like to take a sachet with each meal, and one before bedtime, though you can see what suits you best.
If you require a higher amount initially, you may be able to reduce this after just a week or two, or once your regularity has improved. After this initial period of time, most people find 1 or 2 sachets each day to be effective to maintain the positive effects*. Equally, it’s fine to use the supplement on an ad hoc basis as required, or to take 1-4 sachets per day on an ongoing basis.
Is it ok to take probiotic supplements every day?
Probiotic supplements are generally considered very safe to take on a daily basis1; in fact most research recommends daily use. Probiotics are natural supplements and not a medication. They carry no risk of dependency and do not cause the bowel to become ‘lazy’.
Probiotics are not recommended for those with serious medical conditions e.g. those who are severely immunosuppressed, have pancreatitis, are in the ICU, have melaena, have a central venous catheter, infants with short bowel syndrome, or patients with open wounds following major surgery; unless under a doctor's care. Keep out of reach of children.
